Frances Carol Rhom-Helms, 73, of Morganton, NC died Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Born April 4, 1942 in McDowell County, NC, she was a daughter of Irene Buchanan Justice of Marion, NC and the late Dewey Rhom. In addition to her father, Frances was preceded in death by brothers, Wayne, Junior, and Eugene Rhom.
She is survived by daughters, Teresa Hilton of Morganton and Dawn Bailey of Durham, NC; a granddaughter, Jessica King; siblings, Rita Taylor of Newland, NC, and Roger Rhom of Marion, NC.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 23, 2015 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The memorial service will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev. Paul Kidd officiating. Flowers are appreciated, but memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244.
