Frances “Sis” Graham Crawley

Frances “Sis” Graham Crawley, 87, of Morganton went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 21, 2019.  Born in Burke County, NC on May 20, 1932, she was the daughter of the late James Harvey Graham and Hettie Dale Graham.  Sis was a lifelong member of Gibbs Chapel Wesleyan Church and retired from Sara Lee Knitting.

Sis is survived by her husband of 62 years, James M. Crawley; daughter, Anna Ruth Kerley (Scott) of Morganton; grandson, Jonah Kerley; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sis was preceded in death by 6 sisters and 4 brothers.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The funeral will be held at noon in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Cris Uren officiating.  Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.

Per Sis’ request, memorial contributions should be made to the cemetery fund at Gibbs Chapel Wesleyan Church in lieu of sending flowers.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Grace Heights for their loving and compassionate care of Sis.
