Frances Whisnant Terry

Frances Whisnant Terry, 65, of Spainhour Rd. in Morganton died Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Grace Hospital following a period of declining health. She was born August 31, 1943 in Burke County, and was the daughter of the late Ray Whisnant and Minnie Miller Whisnant. Frances was a member of Zion Baptist Church, and a former employee of Drexel-Heritage Furniture Company.She is survived by her husband, Garland Eugene Terry of the home; a son, Ricky Eugene Terry and wife, Jo Ann, a daughter, Reba Terry Bolick and husband, Andy, and a brother, Harley Whisnant, all of Morganton; grandchildren, Curtis Coleman, Crystal Caldwell, Candace Terry, Stephen Thompson, Emanuel Hite, and Mark Langston; and twelve great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Reba Bolick, 1501 McGee St. in Morganton.
