Frances Williams, 92, of Glen Alpine, NC died Thursday, August 1, 2013. Born in Fayette County, WV on April 4, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Austin Sigler and Wavie Dell Mitchell Sigler. Frances was a former member of Gose Baptist Church in Abingdon, VA.Frances is survived by her children, Kay Cook and her husband, Edward, of Martinsburg, WV and Doug Williams and his wife, Debbie, of Morganton, NC; grandchildren, Edward Cook, Jr., Pamela Cook, Dean Cook, Lea-Ann Branch, and Jessica Revilla; and five great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Howard Williams; two daughters, Loretta Jane Williams and Charlotte Ann Williams; and three brothers, Clarence Leonard Sigler, Dewey Junior Sigler, and Elbert Ray Sigler.
The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens in Abingdon, VA with the Rev. Bob McCormick officiating.Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690.
