G. Aaron Wright

G. Aaron Wright, 74, of Morganton, NC died Thursday, May 15, 2007 at the Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba Valley in Hickory, NC after a brief battle with cancer. He was born May 17, 1932 in Lincoln County, NC, and was a son of Taltha Estelle Yount Wright of Morganton, and the late William Lloyd Wright. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a step-grandchild, Wesley Russ. Aaron was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. He owned and operated Wright Cabinet Works in Morganton until his retirement.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by sons, Alan Wright and wife, Annette, of Morganton, and Austin Wright and wife, Stephanie, of Rocky Mount, NC; grandchildren, Brittany Wright, William Wright, Grace Wright, and Matthew Wright; a special friend, Wayburn Ramsey of Morganton; brothers, Steve Wright and Danny Wright, both of Morganton; and a number of aunts and uncles.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 18, 2007 at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Donald Freshour officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home.
