Garland Leon Bollinger

Garland Leon Bollinger, 79, of Morganton, NC passed away, Sunday, March 6, 2022. Born on April 21, 1942, he was the son of the late John Henry and Ruth Bollinger. Garland retired from REMC with 25 plus years of service. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed riding his Harley.

Garland is survived by his wife, Dorothea Anderson; daughters, Tammy Hodnett (Steven), Ashley Chang (Richard); grandchildren, Peyton Lane, Chandler Lail; sisters, Faye Norman, Ann Carswell; beloved dog Oreo; and several nieces and nephews; step-sons, Kenneth Peeler, Steven Peeler (Susie); step-grandchildren, Charlee, Nate, Kimberleigh, Savanah, Erin, McKenzie.

In addition to his parents, Garland is preceded in death by his brothers, Henry Bollinger, Clayton Bollinger; sister, Juanita Crotts (Sam); step-daughter, Patricia Butler.

A Celebration of life will be held at 2pm, Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Nowling’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Darvey Hensley and Bobby Sheehan officiating. Family will speak to friends following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Amorem Hospice.
