Garry Duckworth

Garry Duckworth, 72, of Morganton, NC passed away unexpected at his home on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Born on October 5, 1948, he was the son of the late Charlie and Cora Duckworth. Garry was a member of Morganton Seventh-day Advent Church where he served on several church committees. Garry retired from SGL after 33 years of service. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather who will be loved and missed by all.

Garry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dollena Duckworth; children, Michelle Duckworth and Kandi D. Lander (Ryan); grandchild, Kamryn Lander; brother, Roger Duckworth (Becky); sister, Rita Scott (Rick); several nieces.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm, Sunday April 11, 2021 at Morganton Seventh-day Adventist Church with the Pastor Steve Bietz officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
