Gary W. Watson

Gary W. Watson, 70, of Morganton passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019.  Born Burke County, NC on January 15, 1949, he was the son of the late Wade Claude Watson and Mary Elizabeth Brittain Watson.  Gary was a member of Mt. Home Baptist Church.  He volunteered at Grace Hospital and was an avid sports fan.

Gary is survived by his wife, Roxie E. Stroupe Watson of the home; sister-in-law, Vonda Stroupe of Morganton; and several cousins.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in the fellowship hall of Mt. Home Baptist Church.
