Gary Wayne Michaels

Gary Wayne Michaels, 59, of U. S. Hwy. 64, Morganton, NC died unexpectedly Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Born January 28, 1950 in Burke County, NC, he was a son of the late Benjamin Eugene Michaels and Ruby Dale Michaels. Gary became very devoted to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His life became centered around those he loved, and he will be greatly missed by all. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Michaels.Surviving are his daughters, Tammy Cook and her husband, Tim and Crystal Michaels all of Morganton, and Kimberly Dipadova of California; grandchildren, Angelica Carr, Prella Carr, Codey Michaels, Kamilia Carr, and Haley Walker; great grandchildren, Justyne, Kadin, and Mayson; a brother, Steve Michaels of Morganton; sisters, Brenda Seamon and Patricia Fairchild; and the mother of his daughters, Glenda Michaels of Morganton.A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home.
