Geneva Lingafelt King

Geneva Lingafelt King, 82, of Morganton went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 1, 2021.  Born in Burke County, NC on May 11, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Frank Lingafelt and Iris Franklin Lingafelt.  Geneva was a member of Victory Chapel Baptist Church.  She retired from Drexel Heritage and had worked at Roses.

Geneva is survived by her daughters, Vanessa King Williamson (Tony) and Ramona King Clark (Chris); grandchildren, Seth Clark (Steffie), Joshua Williamson, and Leah Williamson; brother, Alexander Lingafelt (Nina); and sisters-in-law, Sylvia Lingafelt and Betty Jean Lingafelt.

In addition to her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Bronson King; brothers, Fred and Delbert Lingafelt; and sisters, Louise Coffey, Virginia Carpenter, Ethel Morrison, Rachel Allman, and Laura Whisnant.

The graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2021 at Burke Memorial Park with Rev. Rufus Edmisten officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
