George Lewis Knapp, 74, of St. Mary’s Church Rd. in Morganton died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Britthaven of Morganton. He was born November 7, 1935 in Battle Creek, Michigan, and was a son of the late George Knapp and Margaret Oster Knapp. George was a US Army veteran.
He is survived by his former wife, Sylvia Fountaine Knapp of Morganton.
No funeral services are planned at this time. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
