Georgia Huffman Willis

Georgia Huffman Willis, 88, of Amherst Rd., Morganton, NC died Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Valdese Hospital following a period of declining health. She was born July 31, 1919 in Burke County, NC, and was a daughter of the late George Walter Huffman and Leithie Brittain Huffman Dale.Georgia is survived by a son, Dannie McCoy Huffman and wife, Alice Taylor Huffman of Morganton; grandchildren, Ashley Christine Huffman of Greensboro, NC, and Michelle Huffman Henry and husband, Bill Henry, II of Morganton; and a sister, Mary Lee Mull of Morganton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Willis; and a brother, Robert Lee Huffman.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 12, 2007 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
