Geraldine Inman Birchfield

Geraldine Inman Birchfield, 85 of Morganton, NC went home to be with her Heavenly Father Sunday, February 28, 2016. Born in Haywood County on June 5, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Taylor Inman and Josephine Guye White.
Geraldine loved her family and her many friends. She always wore a smile and never met a stranger. Geraldine had lots of love for all of the little animals she came in contact with. She was a member of Burkemont Baptist Church.
Geraldine is survived by her daughters, Carol Bollinger of Morganton, Shirley Bishop and husband, Pastor Rick Bishop of Nebo, and Linda Causby and husband, Eddie of Morganton; son, Roy Birchfield and wife, Robin of Granite Falls; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee Birchfield; sisters, Bernadine Knight and Lena Hunt; son, Billy Birchfield; and brother, Bob White.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Burkemont Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the church with Rev. Eddy Bunton officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park.
