Ginger Renee Whisnant Brittain

Ginger Renee Whisnant Brittain, 51, of Morganton, NC passed away Friday, October 20, 2017.  Ginger was born July 22, 1966 in Burke County to Irie Ervin Whisnant and the late Georgia Gay Prewitt. 

Ginger was of the Baptist faith and had many dear and devoted friends.  She was a loving woman and enjoyed the outdoors, horses, and motorcycles.

Those left to cherish Ginger’s memory are her husband, Mike Brittain; father, Irie Whisnant and wife, Verlie of Morganton; mother-in-law, Dallas Brittain of Morganton; half-brother, Jeff Dale of Morganton; step-children, Amanda Waters, Steven Brittain, and Philip Brittain all of Morganton; nine grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 3 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Chaplain Laura Roach officiating.
