Glenn Norman Cline, 88, of Drexel, NC, fully entered the presence of his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 05, 2017.  Glenn was born in Burke County, on February 28, 1929 to the late Joseph Eli Cline and Blanche Walker Cline.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Drexel First Church of God.  Glenn was owner and operator of the Drexel Snack Bar, “Home of the Free Coffee”.

In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, Vernon, Max, Ned and Fred Ray Cline and sisters, Barbara Cline Watts and Frances Cline.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Kelly Cline of the home; daughters, Glenda Cline Rader and husband, Brian of Valdese and Lisa Cline Hood and husband, Rick of Morganton; grandchildren, Drew, Joseph, and David Hoyle, Rikki Hood Miller and husband, Chris, and John Hood and wife, Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Caden, Berkley, and Asher Miller and John and Jackson Hood; brother, Joe Ben Cline and wife, Faye; sisters-in-law, Ruth Cline and Juanita Cline; and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Drexel First Church of God.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the church with Rev. Don Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the North Carolina National Guard and Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.  Memorial contributions may be made to Drexel First Church of God, PO Box 218, Drexel, NC 28619 or to Burke Hospice, 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690.
