Gloria Lee Butler

Gloria Lee Butler, 76, of Morganton, NC died Saturday, May 4, 2013. Born in Cleveland County, NC on December 25, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Boyd Newton Jenkins and Rebecca Dale Jenkins. Gloria was an avid reader, flower gardener, and animal lover.Gloria is survived by her husband, Barry A. Butler of the home; children, David K. Holman of Lenoir, NC, Cynthia Oxentine and her husband, Larry, of Rutherford College, NC, Jeff Holman of Morganton, and Barry Chris Butler of Morganton; grandchildren, Joshua Jackson, Arielle Oxentine, and Raina Oxentine; and a brother, Gene Jenkins of Hagerstown, MD.The memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with the Rev. Marty Bess officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
