Gloria “Weenie” Caldwell Hall

Gloria “Weenie” Caldwell Hall, 69, of Morganton, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 10, 2016.  Born in Burke County, NC on August 30, 1947, she was the daughter of Frank “Sonny” Caldwell, Sr. of St. Petersburg, FL and Betty Lou Fullwood Caldwell of Morganton.  Weenie attended Olive Hill High School and worked at Carolina Shoe for over 30 years.  She was a loving mother, friend, aunt, and daughter.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hall is survived by her children, Tracy Lee Caldwell, Betty Hall, and Brenda Jefferson, all of Morganton; a grandson, A. J. Hall of Morganton; brothers, Allen Caldwell and his wife, Rebecca, of Richmond, VA and Sterin Caldwell and his companion, Juanita Young, of Marion, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Weenie was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Jones Hall; a brother, Frank Caldwell, Jr.; and a sister, Alice Faye Brown.

The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 pm, Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.  The funeral will follow at 2 pm in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Allen Caldwell officiating.  The cremation graveside service will be held at 11 am, Monday, October 17 at Mt. Herman A.M.E. Church Cemetery.
