Gordon Lee Ostrander

Gordon Lee Ostrander, 78, died Saturday, March 8, 2014. Born in Wayne County, MI on July 9, 1935, he was the son of the late Norman L. Ostrander and Florence Thompson Ostrander. Gordon attends New Life Church. Following his retirement from Toolcraft in 1997, he owned and operated G & M Auto and Motorcycle.Mr. Ostrander is survived by his wife, Margaret Herring Ostrander of the home; children, Nancy Epley of Morganton, Michael Ostrander of Old Fort, NC, Dean Ostrander and his wife, Shelia of Morganton, Karen Billings of Livonia, MI, Jerry Ostrander and his wife, Carol, of Westland, MI, and Debra Dudek and her husband, Pat, of Troy, MI; seven grandsons; two great-grandsons; and brothers, Cliff Ostrander, Donald Ostrander, and Glenn Ostrander and his wife, Betty, all of MI.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Life Church. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 2-3pm before the service.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407.Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
