Gregg Harding

Gregg Harding, 63, of Cornelius, NC died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at his residence following a lengthy illness. Born in Burke County, NC on September 30, 1947, he was the son of the late Norris Harding and Billie Epley Harding. Gregg served in the US Navy reserve. He was an avid golfer and a member of the River Run Country Club in Davidson. He was a marathon runner and also participated in a fundraising bicycle race in New York City in 2009 for soft-tissue sarcoma research. Gregg was retired from IBM, where he was a Client Executive Manager.Gregg is survived by his wife, Barbara Manuel Harding of the home; a son, Marc Harding and wife, Mati, of Marietta, GA; a daughter, Lori Hogan and husband, Jeff, of Asheboro, NC; a brother, Garry Harding and wife, Nina, of Morganton; grandchildren, Mia Harding, Emma Harding, Hunter Hogan, Corey Hogan, and Zach Hogan; and a nephew, Jeff Harding and wife, Yvonne, and their child, Zoe, of Concord.The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Mike Riley officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, 1420 E. 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
