Gregory Lynn Cuthbertson

Gregory Lynn Cuthbertson, 57, of Morganton passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 1st, 2021.

Born on July 6th, 1964 in Burke County, NC, he was the son of Nell Powell Cuthbertson and the late Lester “Dick” Cuthbertson. Greg was a graduate of Freedom High School and Western Piedmont Community College. He was employed at VanGuard Furniture as a chemical finishing specialist. He was an active member of Zion Baptist Church, an excellent golfer, and avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved the outdoors, especially Linville River where he lived for many years.

In addition to his mother, Greg is survived by his wife, Rhonda Ebright Cuthbertson; son, Christopher Cuthbertson (Ceara); step-daughter, Diamond Brooks Pugalee; step-granddaughter, Scottie Grace Pugalee; sister, Kim Cuthbertson Dean (Darrell); nephew, Trey Lloyd Dean; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m., Thursday, August 5 at Zion Baptist Church.  The memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. in the church with Rev. Keith Rose and Dr. Ralph May officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
