Hadley H. Werth

Hadley H. Werth, 90, of Valdese, NC died Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Carolina Rehab Center of Burke. Born in Oakland Co., MI on May 23, 1921, he was the son of the late Harry G. Werth and Susie E. Davis Werth. Hadley attended North Morganton United Methodist Church. He served in the Pacific Theater of WWII with the Third Marine Division. Hadley was a Mason, retired from Chrysler Corporation, and was a summer resident of Linville Land Harbor.He is survived by his wife, Dana Werth of the home; sons, Jerry B. Werth and wife, Cindy, of Phoenix, AZ and Loren J. Werth and wife, Mary, of Coronado, CA; a step-son, Richard Thomas and wife, Jo, of Orlando, FL; a step-daughter, Diane Frye of Drexel, NC; a sister, Joan Glover of MI; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Hadley was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Werth; and a daughter, Cindy Werth Chase.A memorial service will be planned for a later date in Sebring, FL.
