Harold Gallion

Harold Gallion, 77, of Carolina Rehabilitation Center, NC died Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Born in Burke County, NC on October 2, 1935, he was the son of the late John D. Gallion and Nora Rosalee Johnson Gallion. Harold was raised in the Pentecostal Faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 43 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5362. Harold owned and operated Harold’s Radiators.Mr. Gallion is survived by his daughters, Jenelle Gallion of Morganton, Lisa Gallion and her husband, John Pruett, of Marion, NC, and Patti G. Reed and her husband, Bruce, of Morganton; grandchildren, Katie McGuire, John D. Reed, Jessie Pruett, Hunter Gallion, and Brooke Barrier; a great-grandson, Conner M Ward; sisters, Ilan Hullette, Vonnie Scott and her husband, Herman, and Marie Brookeshire and her husband, Bill; a number of nieces and nephews; and a long-time friend, Eunice Buff, Landon, and family; and his special friends at Carolina Rehab.In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his former wife, Patricia Elizabeth Wilkinson Gallion Nelson; a brother, John Gallion, Jr.; a sister, Mildred G. Powell; and a brother-in-law, Bud Hullette.The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Robbie Hullette officiating. Military honors will be provided by the N. C. National Guard and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
