Harry Herman Thomas

Harry Herman Thomas, 62, of Morganton died Saturday, September 8, 2018.  Born in Peachland, NC on February 25, 1956, he was the son of the late Walter Herman Thomas and Effie Smith.  Harry attended Bethlehem Baptist Church.  He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding ATVs.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Harry is survived by his son, Phillip Thomas (Jessica) of Morganton; daughter, Jennifer Smith (Tim) of Newland; grandchildren, Lelann Buchanan, Audrina Buchanan, Noah Thomas, Elijah Thomas, and Ethan Smith; brothers, Robert Smith and Roy Thomas, both of Spruce Pine; and sister, Rachel and Dale (who he loved like a brother) Ledbetter of Kannapolis, NC.

The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Zack Carswell Music Park with Rev. Steven Painter officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to sent to the family to assist with funeral expenses.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
