Hazel Brown Mull

Hazel Brown Mull, 100 of Morganton, NC died Friday, April 25, 2014. Born in Mecklenburg County, NC on February 21, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Fred M. Brown and Ella Elizabeth Harris Brown. Hazel was a retired employee of Drexel Knitting Mill and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.Hazel is survived by her children, B. Rondal Mull and wife, Mable of Morganton, Bill K. Mull and wife, Mary of Drexel, Mickey Mull Cook and husband, Dr. James R. Cook of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Lynne McCarthy and husband, Mike, Susan Ellis and husband, Dr. Dewitt Ellis, Janet Crump and husband, Ronnie, Michael Mull and wife, Kim, Kaye Lail and husband, Greg; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and brother, Coy Brown and wife, Betty of Morganton.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Foster F. Mull; brothers, Mack, Johnny, Harold and Douglas Brown; sisters, Mary Brown Stamey and Martha Brown Martin.The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 28, 2014 at Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. Amy Freeze officiating. A private family committal service will be held at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
