Helen Bernice Tuttle

Helen Bernice Tuttle, 95, of Morganton, NC died Thursday, February 6, 2014. Born in Burke County, NC on May 25, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Washington Ingle and Martha Elizabeth Lowdermilk Ingle. Bernice was a loving mother to all and gave freely to others. She was a foster mother to many children.Bernice is survived by her sons, Andy Tuttle and his wife, Sheila, of Morganton, Monty Tuttle of Morganton, and Terry Seagle of Belmont, NC; daughters, Dottie T. Simmons and her husband, Joe, and Penny J. Stephens and her husband, Bryan, all of Morganton; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Clay Tuttle; a daughter, Darlene Harton; and eleven siblings.The graveside service will be held at 3:15pm, Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Dr. Dewey Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm Saturday afternoon at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.Memorial contributions may be made to First Advent Christian Church, 211 Lenoir Road, Morganton, NC 28655.
