Henry Harrison Fisher

Henry Harrison Fisher, 69, of Chadbourn, NC died Sunday, January 1, 2012 at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. Born April 29, 1942 in Burke County, NC, he was a son of the late C. Harlon Fisher and Lillie Mae Jones Fisher. Henry was a US Army Veteran and served in the 101st Air Borne in Ft. Campbell, KY. He was a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church, and an avid fisherman and boater. He owned and operated Fisher’s Roofing in Chadbourn, NC.Henry is survived by sons, Henry Harrison Fisher, II and Christopher Harlon Fisher, both of Chadbourn; a daughter, Helen Rebecca Fisher of Morganton; two granddaughters; brothers, Charles R. Fisher, Paul A. Fisher, Isaac "Buddy" Fisher, and Steve A. Fisher, all of Morganton; sisters, Beatrice Fisher Webb and Maryann Fisher Morrow, both of Morganton; and number of nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Harlon Fisher; and a sister, Hazel Fisher McNeely.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Silver Creek Baptist Creek with Rev. Dwayne Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the NC National Guard. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charles George VA Medical Center, 1100 Tunnel Rd., Asheville, NC 28805.
