Henry Van Liles, Sr.

Henry Van Liles, Sr. 93, of Grace Ridge, Morganton, NC died October, 10, 2014. He was born March 9, 1921 in Montgomery County, NC. He was the son of the late Robert Lee Liles, Sr. and Crota Allen Liles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Robert Lee Liles, Jr. who died at the age of 90; James Ray Liles who died in 1945 in the War at the age of 19; Glen Allen Liles who died at the age of 88; and sister-in-law, Lois Lisk Liles.
Henry married his wife Evelyn Stewart Liles, who died on February 11, 2012 at the age of 91 ½, on March 7, 1940 in Bennettsville, SC.
He is survived by his daughter, Doris Liles Beedie and husband Bill of Hilton Head Island, SC; his son, Henry Van Liles, Jr. and wife, Myra LaFevers Liles of Raleigh, NC; granddaughter, Sondra Beedie Richards, (Larry) of Midland, TX; grandson, William (Sam) Beedie, (Serena) of Placentia, CA; granddaughter, Lauren Liles of Raleigh, NC; four great-grandchildren, Parker and Weston Richards, Midland, TX, Cade and Cecilia Beedie of Placentia CA; nieces, Glenda Liles Thompson of Charlotte, NC, Susan Liles Friedman of Manassas VA; sister-in-law, Margaret Lewis Liles of Candor, NC; nephew James Ray Liles; and also several cousins.
The funeral service will be held Monday, October 13, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Rev. Michael Costner officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for 1 hour prior to the service.
