Hildreth “Hid” Fulbright Sain, 95, of Vale, NC passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015. Born in Catawba County, NC on January 17, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Eli Fulbright and Minnie Scronce Fulbright. Hid was a member of Sardis Lutheran Church and enjoyed sewing and gardening. She worked as a sewer at several textile and furniture companies.
Mrs. Sain is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Efferd Sain; brothers, Odell, Deverd, Hubert, Enoch, and Rayford Fulbright; and a sister, Vera Reynolds.
A celebration of Mrs. Sain’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Sardis Lutheran Church with the Rev. C. Pierson Shaw officiating. Entombment will follow in the church columbarium. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
