Howard Lester Penley, 84, of Valdese, NC, died Saturday, November 30, 2024.
Born in Burke County, NC on April 21, 1940, he was the son of the late Howard Layman Penley and Florence Chester Penley.
Howard enjoyed woodworking and was mechanically oriented.
He is survived by his sons, Tim Penley and Jeff Penley (Noelle); grandchildren, Lenora Penley, Abigail Penley, Jeffrey Benjamin Penley, and Katherine Elizabeth Penley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Franklin Penley; and all his siblings.
No services are planned for Mr. Penley.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
