Inez Carswell Wilson

Inez Carswell Wilson, 99, of Morganton, NC went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 9, 2017. Born in Burke County, NC on June 2, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Lee Carswell and Sarah Dobson Carswell. Inez was a member of Snow Hill United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful person who always had a kind word for those she met and was loved and admired by all that knew her. Inez treasured her family and friends and loved her church family dearly.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Winston “Sonny” Wilson; brother, Reid Carswell; sisters Winnie Lucille Clontz and Emma Lee “Jackie” Ricks; and a nephew, Walter Ricks.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by a sister, Helen Hennessee; nieces, Patsy Carswell, Lorene Carswell, Judith Lee Glenn, and Rebecca Cleveland; nephew, Douglas Carswell; and brother-in-law, Paul Clontz.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 13, 2017 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The service will follow in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Reverends Nancy Krall and Jerry Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
