Iva Jane Duckworth

Iva Jane Duckworth, 61, of Eastwade Avenue in Morganton died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at her daughter’s residence following a period of declining health. She was born June 9, 1947 in Burke County, NC, and was a daughter of the late Forest Graham Chapman and Dorine Pruett Chapman. Iva enjoyed gardening, and loved nature and animals.She is survived by her husband, Rickie A. Duckworth of Drexel Rd. in Morganton; a daughter, Lisa Duckworth Curtis of Morganton; a grandson, Zachary Curtis of Morganton; and sisters, Mary Chapman of Morganton, and Linda Palangi of Sanford, NC.Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 13, 2009 at Burke Memorial Park with Rev. Ricky Watkins officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home.
