Iva Jean "Peggy" Garland Crawley

Iva Jean "Peggy" Garland Crawley, 71, of Drexel, NC died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Grace Hospital. Born October 19, 1939 in Mitchell Co. NC, she was a daughter of the late Wes Howell and Mary Belle Garland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Crawley; a brother, Vernon Garland; and a sister, Mildred Garland. Iva Jean loved to cook, and she was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.Left to cherish her memory are her children, Vicki Cooper and husband, Larry of Northfield, MN, Mark Causby, and Jo Ann Reece and husband, Calvin, all of Morganton; god daughter, April Rose Peeler and fiancé, Robert Hollifield of Morganton; grandchildren, Ben and Aaron Cooper, Carman Causby, and Nathan Reece; god grandson, Jesse Peeler; and special friends, Gary Epley and Kathie Carswell.Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon, Friday, July 8, 2011 at Burke Memorial Park with Rev. Donald Whitson officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:30 until 11:30 am at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.
