Jack South

Jack South, 53, of the Chesterfield area died Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Grace Hospital. Born in Burke County, NC on June 24, 1956, he was the son of Mary Guinn South and the late Bonney Jack South, Sr. Jack was raised in the Baptist faith. He was working at Handi-Care as a CNA. Jack had also worked for Morganton Dye and Finishing and at Wamsutta Mills.In addition to his mother, Jack is survived by his wife, Wanda "Robin" Hall South of the home; brothers, Billy Ray South and Paul Jay South, both of Morganton; and a sister, Linda South Buff and husband, Richard, of Morganton.In addition to his father, Jack was preceded in death by sisters, Helen South Epley and Betty Jo South.The memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
