Jackie Dean Farris, 57 of Dysartsville, NC died Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC. Born in Burke County, NC on August 21, 1949, he was a son of the late Jack and Berniece Crawley Farris. Jackie worked as a paramedic in various counties for 20 years, after which he became a physician’s assistant.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Scott and Christy Farris of Morganton; grandchildren, Jessica Burton and Michael Farris both of Morganton; a sister, Barbara Farris of Morganton; and a brother, Walter Farris of Morganton.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2006 at Westview Baptist Church on U.S. 64, Morganton. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family.
