Jackie "Jack" Lee Greene

Jackie "Jack" Lee Greene, 41, of Bluebird Dr. in Morganton, NC died Monday, September 24, 2012. Born August 3, 1971 in Burke County, NC, he was a son of Addie Mae McFarland Greene of Morganton, and the late Junior Jack Greene. Jackie had been a member of Gibbs Chapel Wesleyan Church where he sang with the choir. He was employed with International Automotive Components in Old Fort, NC. Jackie’s hobbies included playing the acoustical guitar, trout fishing, and watching Tarheels basketball and the Atlanta Falcons.In addition to his mother, Jackie is survived by his wife, Leann Judge Greene of the home; children, Joel Greene and Emily Greene, both of the home; a step-daughter, Lacey Brown of Morganton; sister, Janice Stone and husband, Jeff, of Morganton; and a nephew, Josh Stone.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Travis Stone.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Gibbs Chapel Wesleyan Church with Rev. Roger Brackett and Rev. Bryan Joyner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gibbs Chapel Wesleyan Church. At other times, the family will be at the residence of his mother, 213 Grandview Avenue. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
