Jacklyn Kay Briggs

Jacklyn Kay Briggs, 58, of Henderson Mill Rd., Morganton, NC died unexpectedly at her residence. She was born January 24, 1950 in Wyandotte Co, KS, and was the daughter of the late Oran P. and Sylvia Watson. Jacklyn was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. Jacklyn enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband, and loved her pets. She was a budding author, and was in the process of writing a book.Jacklyn is survived by her husband, Paul Briggs of the home; sons, Jeff Briggs and wife, Lesa, of Hickory, NC, and Raymond Duffett and wife, Carrie of Kansas City, KS; and nine grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joel Briggs.No services are planned.
