Jacob “Jake” Smith

Jacob “Jake” Smith, 61, of Morganton, NC, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020. Born on March 17, 1959, he was the son of the late Arden and Pauline Smith. He was a member of Laurel Haven Baptist Church. He enjoyed racing and hanging out with his friends. Jake was loved by all.

Jake is survived by his son, Jeffery Hull; brother, David Smith; nieces, Harley Jordan Smith and Kendra Hawley; daughter of the heart, Chelsey Williams; grandchildren, Kara and Tylor; and a number of extended family.

In addition to his parents, Jake is preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Arden Smith.

A graveside service will be held at noon, Monday, December 21, 2020 at Laurel Haven Baptist Church.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
