Jairam Ramsamooj

Jairam Ramsamooj, 50, of Dysartsville Road, Morganton, died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Jairam was born July 18, 1959 in Trinidad to William Ramsamooj and Seeraji Ramsamooj of Trinidad. His children were his life, and he gave everything for them. He was the best dad in the world, and loved to read, especially car magazines.In addition to his parents he is survived by the mother of his children, Morina Torres of Hickory; children, Clifford Ramsamooj and his wife, Ksenia of Virginia Beach, VA. Keith Ramsamooj of the home, Jon Ramsamooj of Wilmington, Crystal Ramsamooj of Greensboro, Adriel Ramsamooj of the home, and Kristyanna Ramsamooj of Hickory; and a sister, Seeta Ramsamooj of Trinidad.A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 22, 2010 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Eddy Bunton officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the home of Morina Torres, 5429 Gunpowder Dr., Hickory, NC.
