James Clark Jordan, 68, of Morganton, NC passed away Friday, June 3, 2016. He was born on November 23, 1947 in McDowell County, NC and was the son of the late, Alonzo Plato Jordan and Annie Mae Eller Jordan. James was a Veteran of the US Army and Marines and served in the Vietnam War. James was an avid golfer and loved to play Bingo.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Winnie Faye, Alice McMillan, Francis Lowe; and brother, John Stanley.
He is survived by sisters, Bonnie Autrey, Ruby Davis and husband, Charles and Alma Sue Moore; brothers, Homer Jordan and wife, Gladys, Raymond Jordan, Arthur Jordan and wife, Diane, and a number of nieces nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until 10:30 am, Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. A graveside service will be held at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain on June 8, 2016 at 12:00 pm with military honors provided by the U.S. Army and Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
