James "Dick" Eller

James "Dick" Eller, 56, of Moorehead St., Morganton, NC passed away Friday, October 9, 2009 at his residence. Born in Rowan County, NC on January 13, 1953, he was the son of Eleanor Rendleman Eller of Granite Quarry, NC and the late James Richard Eller, Sr. Dick was raised in the United Methodist Faith. He attended East Rowan High School and graduated from N.C. State University. He worked for many years at Waldensian Bakery.In addition to his mother, Dick is survived by a son, Dustin Eller and wife, Amanda, of Mint Hill, NC; brothers, Mark Eller of Boston, MA and Chris Eller and wife, Kitty, of Salisbury, NC; and his former wife, Gale Eller of Morganton.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Eric Eller.A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Rendleman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
