James Edward Shirreffs

James Edward Shirreffs, 81, of Connelly Springs, NC, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022.  Born in Elberton, GA on February 27, 1941, James was the son of the late John Henry Shirreffs and Mary Frances Bell Shirreffs.  James enjoyed woodworking, golf, fishing, and playing guitar.

Mr. Shirreffs is survived by his daughters, Susan Askew, Heather Daniels (Frank), Cathie Shirreffs, and Laura Logan; grandchildren, Chris, Christine, Matthew, Zachary, and Seth; great-grandchildren, Alice, Charlotte, Emma, and Dean; and siblings, Donald Shirreffs, Susie Cooley (Larry), and Jean Spangenberg (Sam).

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Shirreffs; brother, John Shirreffs; and sisters, Mary Frances “Sister” Sain and Peggy Linn.

The family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, March 20, 2022 at James’ home.
