James G. “Jimmy” Sisk

James G. “Jimmy” Sisk, 90, of the Table Rock Community, died Saturday, February 24, 2018.  Born on August 22, 1928, in New York, he was a son of the late Mason Gilbert Sisk and Janet Williams Sisk.

After retiring from banking in New York, Jimmy returned to his beloved Table Rock.  Jimmy was a New York Giants fan and enjoyed sports, collecting arrowheads, and listening to Big Band music. Jimmy was a kind soul with a soft spot in his heart for children and animals, especially dogs.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sisk was preceded in death by his first wife, Kiki Harris Sisk; second wife, Linda Hornor Sisk; brother, Jerry Sisk and nephew Jerry Sisk, Jr..

Mr. Sisk is survived by his niece, Melanie Sisk Fitzgerald and husband, Michael of Kentucky; step-children, Mark Walters and wife, Jane of Durham, and Debbie Lissenden and husband, Jay of State College Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Jenny, Allison, Brett and wife, Kate, Lauren, and Jessie; and great-granddaughters, Charli and Lucy.  Also surviving are cousins, Kenneth Kayga and wife, Beatrice, Tori Townsend and husband, Richard, Connie Barrier and husband, Eric, and Sammy Kayga and wife, Laura; caregiver and neighbor, Lisa Wise; and his canine companion, “Jangles”.

The family will receive friends, from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at 3:15 p.m. at Mountain Grove United Methodist Church on Fish Hatchery Road.
