James “Jim” Roy Clontz, III

James “Jim” Roy Clontz, III, 32, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018. Born on December 7, 1986, he was the son of James Roy Clontz, Jr. and the late Reba Lynn Clontz.

Jim was a beloved son, brother, and friend. He was an avid gamer, an Eagle Scout, and had a Bachelor’s degree from UNC Greensboro. Jim was known by many as “Teddy Bear”.

Jim is survived by his father, James Roy Clontz, Jr.; sister, Courtney Lynn Clontz; aunt, Pat Thompson; “brothers,” Benjamin Smith, Cameron “Ozzy” Smith, Michael Deyton, Seth Blackburn, Shane Farr, Miranda Robinson; and multiple cousins.

In addition to his mother, Jim is preceded in death by his uncle, Fred Clontz; paternal grandparents, James Roy Clontz, Sr. and Lillie Clontz and maternal grandparents, Edgar and Madge Parlier.

A cryptside service will be held at 2 p.m., January 8, 2019 at Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum.  The family will greet friends following the service.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
