James “Jimmy” Nelson Corpening, Jr., 65, of Morganton, NC passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017. Jimmy was born in Burke County, NC on August 7, 1951 to the late James Nelson Corpening and Drusilla Mae Cardwell Corpening.
Jimmy is survived by his Godson, Clayton Gragg and Bridgett Langston both of Morganton and a close friend, Rex McFalls.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Elice Corpening.
There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
