On February 25, 2020, God sent Maurice on an assignment to take his Daddy’s hand and bring him home. James “Slick” Avery was a loving husband and daddy. After marriage, he became a member of Shiloh AME Church.
Slick went home to joining his parents, Mr. James Phillip and Mary C. Avery, son, James Maurice Avery; mother-in-law, Hattie M. Corpening.
Slick leaves behind to cherish his memories a wife of 52 years, Ms. Geneva C.
