Jana Denise Stroupe Shell

Jana Denise Stroupe Shell, 48, of Hwy 64 West in Morganton died Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Grace Hospital following a period of declining health. She was born April 27, 1961 in Burke County, NC, and was a daughter of Beatrice "Bea" Hensley and her husband, Jack, and James Stroupe and his wife, Frances, all of Morganton. She was a member of Mt. Home Baptist Church, and a former employee of Wal-Mart.In addition to her parents, she is survived by sons, Timothy Alan Stroupe, and Christopher Dale Shell of Connelly Springs, NC; sisters, Cindy Stroupe of Valdese and Beverly Stroupe of Morganton; a step-sister, Jackie Abernathy of Morganton; caregivers, Dallas and Susan Sigmon and their family; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.Jana was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Shell, Jr; a brother, Jerry Wayne Stroupe; and grandparents, Carl and Lola Mull, and Gerald and Katie Stroupe.Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev.
