J.C. Herron

J.C. Herron, 87, of Morganton passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019.  Born in Burke County, NC on October 3, 1931, he was the son of the late William and Juanita Dale Herron.  J.C. was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.  He was owner and operator of Herron Grading and Septic Service.  J.C. had a heart of gold and made sure no one he was in contact with went hungry.

Mr. Herron is survived by his brother, Dale Herron (Jo Ann); long-time friend, Mildred Perkins; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

In addition to his parents, J.C. was preceded in death by two half-sisters, Betty Rose Duckworth and Helen Causby; and two half-brothers, Howard Pritchard and Eugene Pritchard.

Services for J.C. will be held at a later date.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
