Jean Jarrell, 86, of Morganton died Saturday, January 30, 2021. Born in Burke County, NC on March 19, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Eric Trefton Garrison and Dorothy Elaine Bailey Garrison. Jean was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Jarrell is survived by her husband, Thomas “Tom” Jarrell of the home; daughters, Tammy Carpenter (Mark) and Pamela Holland; grandchildren, Jordan Gibson, Logan Carpenter, Payton Holland, and Trefton Holland; and a sister, Evelyn Fredricks.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Lane.
Mrs. Jarrell will be available for viewing from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Norman E. Jones officiating.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
