Jean Teseneer

Jean Teseneer, 86, of Morganton, died on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the McCurry Family Care Home. Born in Norfolk, VA on August 9, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Paul David Pruitt and Annie Margaret Hughes Perry. Jean was an active member of El Bethel Baptist Church where she participated in the Sunday School and was Treasurer of Mission Action. She retired from Burke County Department of Social Services with more than 37 years of service.Jean is survived by her son, Ronald Teseneer and his wife, Carolyn, of Morganton; a brother, Doug Jones and his friend, Jane McMahan, of Morganton; a sister, Mary Sharp and her husband, Rich, of Florida; and a number of nephews and nieces.In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, C. M. Teseneer, Jr.; a brother, Paul Pruitt; and two sisters, Amelia Edge and Florence Creason.The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 27, 2012 at El Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home.Memorial contributions may be made to El Bethel Baptist Church, P.O.
