Jeanette E. Gardner

Jeanette E. Gardner, 66, of Kela Dr. in Morganton died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Grace Hospital. She was born March 5, 1942 in Madison County, NC, and was the daughter of Frances Penland Greene and the late David Dodd. She was a member of the Way of the Cross Church, and was a loving wife and mother.In addition to her mother, Jeanette is survived by her husband, Rex Gardner of the home; daughters, Denise Lyvonne Gardner, Crystal Lee Gardner, and Angela Joan Carswell, all of the home; and Shelia Macallister and Michelle Macallister; a son, Bob Dodd; step-children, Jean Barnes, Rhonda Wolford, Linda Gardner, and Allen Gardner; grandchildren, Thackary Gardner, Stacey Carswell, Michael Carswell, and Charlise Dodd; and nine step-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2008 at the Way of the Cross Church with the Reverends Richard Ellington, Jim Rhodes, and Gene Pons officiating. Entombment will follow at Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 until 2:00 pm at the church.
